June was born with Alex, being their parent’s first children. She was younger by a couple minutes, and grew up with Alex being her protector. She lived in Michigan most of her young life with Alex and her parents on a small farm. June was shy, and kept to herself more than her brother, but the friends that she made, she liked to keep. Alex was more outgoing and outspoken. He took the official “big brother” role for June, being there to protect her. They spent most of their time together, feeling the most comfortable with each other. Their parents were really kind people and they raised Alex and June well. When when they were seventeen, they decided to stay the night at a mutual friend’s house. They were told the next morning that their house had burned down during the middle of the night. Their parents were trapped upstairs and eventually passed out due to breathing in too much smoke. They died that night and it was determined that they would live with their uncle in a part of Michigan closer to Detroit. They lived with him for about a year and a half. Their uncle was bipolar and drank often. When he was angry and started throwing a fit, he had a habit of becoming abusive, so June always turned to Alex for protection and he would take them somewhere safe. Eventually, it was decided that their uncle was too emotionally unstable for them to live with, so they moved to Toronto to live with their grandmother. She was never home, having a close friend that lived close by. June and Alex spent most of their time together, or with others that they invited over. Now, at age 20, Alex and June are saving money and looking into apartments.
